The dog training at home is necessary for every dog owner who doesn't have the money to take that dog obedience training class. However, this is something that is not easy thing to do since you are required to communicate to your pet in a human way that he understands. On the other hand, this is the task that can be done easily by simply following the underlying principle in an effective communication which is to reward behaviour that is desired and ignore or even correct behaviour that is undesirable. As a matter of fact, there are actually six common behaviours that are included in the basic dog training at home. These basic commands that are proven to be very effective when you are going to train your dog are sit down, stay, come, heel, up, close as well as recall.

Since you are the owner, you should be the one to train your dog personally before sending your dog to a pet trainer. This is simply because of the reason that you will be the person who will be with your dog for the rest of his life. The first thing that you have to do in dog training at home is to teach your dog to stop irritant barking. It is because too much barking ma perhaps becomes a problem for the family especially if there are guests in your home, even though barking is the usual way of the dogs to communicate. However, when you decide to teach that to our dog, you should understand that not all dogs make good guard dogs. It is because that there are certain breeds that are predisposed to guard what is there, however all dogs can trained to bark as an alert warning.
